Approved total budget (in EUR) - 399 355

Duration: 1 October 2008 - 30 September 2010

The POTENS project is a piloting initiative focused on developing new training methodology which combines psychodrama and adult education. The methodology will be focused on the acquisition of three competences:

1.Learning to learn (insight into one's potential, building on prior knowledge and experiences)
2.Interpersonal and social competences (behavioural patterns realized and corrected; conflict resolution)
3.Cultural expression (psychodrama enhances creative expression of ideas, experiences and emotions through work on stage)
The main goal of the project is to work out a set of training techniques to support and improve teaching/learning processes, especially to empower adult students from marginalized social contexts to gain an insight into their own potential (POTENS) and develop social and personal competences accordingly, which put them in a stronger position in the society and the labor market.

The main project activities:

•running pilot workshops for AE trainers by psychodrama practitioners in all 4 partner countries
•editing 2 publications for educators: handbook (a paper-based publication in 5 European languages) and documentary film (DVD)
•organizing Grundtvig seminar
•creating the project website
The POTENS consortium consists of 5 partners from 4 EU countries:

•Grodzki Theatre Association, Poland (leader),
•Societatea de Psihodramă "J.L. Moreno", Romania,
•Adult Education Association, Cyprus,
•Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovaçao, Portugal,
•EST Lifelong Learning Centre, Poland
