"Theatrical Map of Europe" by Maria Schejbal. In Polish and English.

This publication resulted from our project "Theatrical Map of Europe", which was carried out from December 2003 to June 2004. It involved theatre workshops with 25 groups threatened by social exclusion. The results of their work were stage performances about 25 European countries. The greatest value, however, lay in the experiences of each and every person involved in the project. This publication comprises only a small part of those collective achievements presenting some of the ideas, discoveries and methods.

Our first publication - "I Will Show You the World" - a describtion of practical workshop ideas, was met with such interest that it ran out of print very quickly. "Theatrical Map of Europe" presents 25 new excercises in the hope that they will turn out to be helpful and inspiring for all those working in theatre or therapy.

Your comments and suggestions would be most welcome.

"Animated Debate"

Animated Debate - A CD Guide. In Polish, English, Italian and Romanian.
This CD guide is a presentation of our international project entitled "Animated Debate - computer animation workshops for dysfunctional groups in prospect of developing European cooperation", which was accomplished within the Socrates Minerva programme.
"Animated debate" is aimed at all the people who are using or would like to use the computer and the Internet in creative and educational work with children and youths, in school, out-of-school, or even in home conditions. But first and foremost, this presentation is adressed to teachers - for them the presentations of the individual parts of the project were prepared, also considering the specificity and technical possibilities of school environment. The CD Guide for Educators provides real support and encouragement to the teachers of all subjects in introducing new, ICT-based methods of learning in mainstream education. It promotes a personalised, multidisciplinary learning experience, in which learners play a more active role.

The CD guide has been published in 4 languages - English, Polish, Italian and Romanian in a run of 1500 copies.

We hope that you find The Guide for Educators useful and inspiring. Your feedback - comments, suggestions or questions would be very much appreciated.

"Cultural vehicles in education"

The book was written as part of the "Cultural Vehicles in Education - assisting the needs of vulnerable social groups" project (CVE) funded by the European Comission, Grundtivg programme.

The paper-based publication by Agnieszka Ginko-Humphries has been published as a textbook on the new, arts-based methodology developed during the CVE project. It is carefully designed and illustrated with photographs from all pilot workshops in 4 countries and creative works made by the participants.
The main idea behind the book is both to present the new methodology and to inspire the educators to use their own arts-based methods. The proposed scenarios of educational units are written in such a way as to allow for easy adaptation to the needs of one's group. Every exercise can and should be creatively developed and improved, often the workshop participants introduce valuable changes, as it was discovered during the CVE pilot workshops. The language of the book is informal and user-friendly to go in line with the CVE spirit. It is learner/reader centred, focused on actively involving the person in the educational matters, asking surprising questions and encouraging creativity ("Perhaps a story or poem will come to your mind?").
The edition of 3.000 copies in six languages (EN, FR, DE, PL, LT, CS - 500 copies of each language) has ensured wide distribution at the European level. The book has 147 pages, with a cover in full-colour, and is spiral-bound to allow for easy use at workshops and training sessions.
