Introduction to the art of painting and the methods used in painting and drawing

1. A description of the activities undertaken during the unit, including comments on the reactions of the group/individual participants

a. Since the participants agreed on creating a drama, this geenerated another need related to the drama art - to create (paint) properties to the drama.

b. The participants wanted to start preparing the scene at the stream , so the conclusion was to paint a
property of stream. First of all , the group discussed the characteristics how the stream should look
like and how to actually paint it. Then came the real painting part where all the participants had
opportunity to practice and improve their painting skills.

c. The participants agreed on the next seminar time schedule 2nd May 2008.

2. Was the aim of the unit achieved (the implementation of practical skills and the pedagogical aim)?

The primary goal of the workshop to voercome a barrier type : I do not know how to paint (draw) and prove to the participants that while painting they can feel suttisfaction and enjoyment at the same time. Not only the participants enjoyed the workshop but also their friends and children.

As the attendees indulged more and more in drawing, during the entire workshop as they were checking their work , their selfesteem was increasing. At the end everybody was very proud of the work he did individually and of the entire work of the group in general
